We are looking for a Jr. Project Engineer to join the team in our Loveland, CO office and will accept resumes until the position is filled.

Job Function:

Develop engineering solutions from concept through detail design, manufacturing, testing, installation and delivery.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to produce and develop design concepts into working engineering solutions.
• Produce manufacturing detail drawings incorporating limits and fits, welding symbols, geometric tolerances and surface finish.
• Produce full engineering calculations to support designs.
• Produce technical reports and documents.
• Ability to specify components/systems based on calculations and relevant practical experience.
• Interact with other engineering disciplines.
• Work as part of a design team.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Ability to operate both 2D and 3D design software packages.
• Working knowledge of current design/safety legislation.
• Working knowledge of designing equipment under ISO 9001 or NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of mechanical engineering work experience.
• Experience with equipment design.
• CAD modeling experience: SolidWorks, Inventor, NX
• Experience drafting and generating Bills of Material.
• Nuclear industry experience a plus.
• Experience with calculations (FEA, stress/fatigue/vibration analysis) preferred.
• Applied knowledge of GD&T preferred.
• Project scheduling experience preferred.
• This position requires the incumbent to work with export controlled items.

• At least 1 year of experience with equipment design.
• At least 1 year of experience with CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, NX).
• At least 1 year of post-graduate mechanical engineering experience.
