Details

Provide peer support to refugees experiencing distress.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in a 12-week PM+ Helper Training.

Lead a 5-week, skills based intervention with refugees, using the PM+ curriculum developed by the World Health Organization.

Conduct PM+ assessments and collect data.

Participate in a weekly, 1-hour session with a PM+ Mentor.

Requirements

Caring individuals who are good listeners, patient, non-judgmental and empathic.

Must be fluent in English and in one or more of the following languages:Swahili, Lingala, French, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Arabin, Pashto, Farsi, Dari, Urdu, Spanish, Tigrinya, Burmese, or Ukrainian.

Education or Equivalency

No formal mental health background is needed.
