Job description
Position Summary:
Nusano is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Plant Director to oversee the design and commissioning of a radiological facility. As Nusano's representative, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the facility meets all relevant regulations, industry standards, and project requirements. This role will involve managing a team of designers, engineers, and contractors, and providing regular updates to Nusano Management.
What You'll Do:
- Provide technical expertise in radiological facility design, construction, and commissioning.
- Ensure that the facility design meets all relevant regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage a team of designers, engineers, and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with Nusano's Architect/Engineering Firm, General Contractor, and Construction Management team.
- Develop a comprehensive Facility Program under the guidance of Nusano Management.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures, and oversee the testing and verification of all systems.
- Provide regular updates to the facility owner, including progress reports, budget updates, and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure that all work is completed to the required standards.
- Provide technical support to the facility owner during the operational phase of the facility.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of radiological facilities
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations and industry standards related to radiological facility design and operation
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and contractors
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and address technical issues
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Work to be conducted from the office
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Frequent use of computer with repetitive use of keyboard, mouse and manual dexterity
