Scope of Position: This role is accountable for maintaining an environmental compliance to applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This position is also responsible for facilities which includes contractor interactions for capital projects and other facilities related work. This includes but is not limited to contractor safety compliance and training, obtaining job quotes, and executing short and long-term project lists.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Manage compliance activities/reporting requirements with local, state and federal rules including maintaining and implementing Title V compliance activities, water source and disposal management, and waste handling
• Maintenance and operation of all facility systems including fire protection, security systems, alarms, water/storm water systems, sewage systems, compressed air systems, landscaping etc.
• Maintain record keeping, handling, labelling, and shipping of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and file necessary reports with applicable agencies
• Partner with internal and external groups to coordinate industrial and chemical hygiene, safety, health, and environmental audits/inspections
• Maintaining existing MSDS system and ensure new materials and products have appropriate MSDS sheets and training
• Emergency Response Planning by participating and assisting with training activities; develops and conducts drills, and resolves identified gaps
• Ability to either take the lead or participate in incident investigations and the judgment to make the correct decision based on each situation
• Performs facility engineering work actively assisting with plant safety programs
• Responsible for contractor safety training for large projects
• Monitors all energy systems and recommends design changes for efficiency gains, etc.
• Performs project management tasks that include design reviews, bid, install, and commission of equipment
• Monitor daily performance of facility equipment throughout plant
• Interacts with vendors, contractors, etc.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelors in technical field (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or 10+ years of equivalent related knowledge)
• Good knowledge of Environmental Regulations
• Project management awareness
• Advanced in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Desired Skills:

• US OSHA (preferred) regulations as they relate to general industry, and experience with regulatory agencies and applicable laws

The range for this position is $76,335.00 - $104,961.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
