This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite on Campus and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Under supervision of the Research Program Manager, the Research Coordinator-Phlebotomist is responsible for coordinating all aspects of data collection for multiple studies in the areas of nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and public health. Responsibilities include various aspects of data collection, sample acquisition, and study coordination to ensure the overall continued success of research projects. The Research Coordinator-Phlebotomist is responsible for facilitating a positive participant study experience consistent with the study protocol; organizing schedules for participant virtual visits and in-person visits to study clinic; obtaining informed consent; completing interviewer-administered surveys; supervising the transport, storage, and distribution of study meals; overseeing data and biospecimen collection; directing the collection, labeling, transport, storage, and processing of specimens per specifications for analysis, liaising with laboratories regarding research findings; monitoring the study to ensure that it complies with protocols, is ethically-conducted and follows regulatory standards; maintaining research records of study activity, including case report forms, drug dispensation records or other regulatory forms as per FDA guidelines; making sure that all equipment and supplies needed for the study are in-stock and in good working order.The coordinator also maintains participant files; creates participant reports and abnormal lab value notifications; track study participation; attend regular study meetings with study staff, clinician, and investigators; and create and present weekly reports of participants' status, adherence to study meals, and any issues that may threaten study participation.
