Responsibilities:

As a Python Developer at our company, you will:

Write high-quality, well-designed, and well-tested Python software.
Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team.
Demonstrate technical leadership at our company and within open-source communities.
Debug issues and produce high-quality code fixes.
Contribute to technical documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
Work remotely with global travel twice a year for company events.

Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals who possess:

An exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
Drive and a track record of exceeding expectations.
Well-organized, self-starting, and able to deliver on schedule.
Professional manner when interacting with colleagues, partners, and the community.
Experience writing thoroughly designed, modern, maintainable Python code.
Conscientiousness, attention to detail, and a focus on performance.
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).

Additional Skills:

Candidates with the following skills will be highly valued:

Experience with container technologies (LXD, Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of build systems and toolchains, including cross-compilation.
Proficiency in additional languages (Golang, Rust, C, C++).
Deep quality and test engineering knowledge.
Web or Flutter front-end experience.
Familiarity with REST and gRPC API.
SQL and NoSQL data store expertise.
Experience with public clouds or OpenStack.
Knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu packaging.
Background in systems programming or scalable web services.
Performance engineering and security experience.
