PART-TIME TASTING ROOM POSITION IN PETALUMA

Black Knight Cellars is looking for an individual to join our family run winery. Black Knight Cellars is a woman-owned winery known for our extensive collection of sparkling, pinot noir, and chardonnay wines. Black Knight Cellars maintains a winery at the vineyard and a separate tasting room located in the heart of downtown Petaluma. We are currently looking for part-time assistance in the tasting room.

Our tasting room atmosphere is engaging, professional and knowledgeable. When our guests arrive, they receive a unique urban winery experience in downtown Petaluma that ties directly into our winemaking lifestyle. Our team engages and learns about our guests, presents our wine, explains the family story, introduces our wine club, and describes the winemaking basics behind the wines. Successful candidates will possess superior customer-facing skills. If you thrive in this environment, we invite you to submit your resume for a part-time position.

Our tasting room is open Thursdays-Mondays from 1-8pm. Average hours scheduled per week are from 8-24 hours and may include weekday evenings for corporate events.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  21 years or older
•  Prior tasting room experience is preferred.
•  Experience in sales, customer service and/or hospitality.
•  Reliability is a must.
•  Knowledge of wine and wine production preferred.
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
•  Ability to engage with each customer and provide excellent customer service.
•  Ability to communicate in a knowledgeable, professional, and gracious manner to all guests in the tasting room.
•  Engaging and enthusiastic personality.
•  Ability to manage changing priorities with enthusiasm.
•  Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
•  Able to stand for long periods at a time and move cases of wine when necessary.
•  Prepare tasting room with opening & closing duties.
•  Some limited food prep is required.

Salary Range depending on experience. Commission based compensation may be negotiable.

Training on all aspects of the job will be provided.
