Medical Assistant - Direct Hire Zip Code: Humble, TX 77338 | Location: North Houston Employment Type: Direct Hire | Workplace Type: On-site Healthcare Specialty: Nephrology | Salary: $18 - $20 an hour Our client in the Humble area is seeking an ambitious Medical Assistant to join the team! Medical Assistant’s Responsibilities: Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and other important information such as test results Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physicians Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients and their caregivers Assist with the dialysis procedures as directed by the physicians Medical Assistant’s Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED required Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant, experience in Nephrology or Primary Care is preferred Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program EMR: Athena experience is preferred A valid driver's license is required as you will be traveling between the Humble and The Woodlands locations.
