W e are hiring multiple casual (per diem) Cook-Dining Assistant positions to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Livonia, MI (near Madonna University, off Schoolcraft Road). Days and afternoons/evenings open!

General Summary:

The Cook/Dining Assistant's primary responsibility is to prepare, serve and deliver food within the convent in accordance with established menus, recipes, sanitary standards, and according to established policies and procedures.

We believe care partners in all departments should be able to engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engage in meaningful interactions during the course of every day. Education and Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of food service or restaurant experience (working in a commercial or institutional food service environment is a PLUS).
  
• Experience in an Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, hospital, or other healthcare environment is preferred but not required. SERV Safe certification preferred.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
