As a Corporate Communications Specialist – join S2 Analytical Solutions and the customer to facilitate the mission of national security and humanitarian leadership by shaping information-driven decision-making with innovative IT solutions!
Job Overview: As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping our communication strategies and ensuring that our messages resonate with our audience. You will work closely with our Communications Team to review metrics, develop communication products, and contribute to the overall success of our organization. Independently performs a wide range of functions and tasks, which require vision, leadership, and proficiency in creating, developing, and implementing communications strategy. Provides general or specialized support to ATP and its associated divisions, branches, and programs. Develops pertinent information and provides to the Government POC for communication to varied audiences (e.g., Customer, DoD, NSG, IC, Federal Government) by extracting and organizing information briefings, read-ahead, and other materials and/or recording and publishing Meeting Minutes with particular attention to detail and quality. May provide other duties listed (scheduling and coordinating meetings, calendars, and events; gathering, inputting, and retrieving electronic data; maintaining files and folders; creating, updating, or maintaining SharePoint; researching and analyzing information and data to prepare reports, presentations, and papers).
Duties include:
- Interface with management and support senior communications functions. Support the creation and implementation of strategic communications plans that meet the needs of the ATP leadership. Support plan implementation to include analyzing surveys and assessments.
- Provide inputs for a Strategic Communication Plan and support the development of a variety of dissemination techniques using different means of communication. Examples include message ghost writing and editing, preparing articles, inquiry responses, crafting senior talking points, preparing communication tool kits, and producing other communication vehicles to support implementation of the ATP Strategic Communication Plan.
- Provide ATP with expertise in stakeholder analysis and communication needs management. Activities will include understanding the communication needs of the internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with segmented audiences, assessing the effectiveness of communication plans and deliverables, and providing feedback to ATP leadership.
- Provide presentation support to ATP leadership. Support includes working directly with the principal to understand the purpose of a presentation, what should be targeted/tailored using graphical concepts and design, and preparing/delivering presentation material using power point or other visual media.
- Arrange for conferences, meetings, and training sessions contacting agency staff leads, articulating meeting purposed to participants. Oversee all logistics to include meeting rooms, space, facilities, etc.
- Coordination, collection, screening and dissemination of ATP materials.
- Maintain the content of the ATP SharePoint website to include posting and updating information.
- Work with members of custer, DoD, and the IC on responding to taskers, to include data calls metrics, corporate communications, business process improvement, strategic planning, and CONOPs.
- Provide support to ATP offsite/conference planning and execution. Examples of support include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing support to conferences, as required by ATP, to include scheduling of facilities, scheduling meetings, developing agendas, assisting conference and working group coordinators, and assisting with the overall execution of the conference plan
- Prepare Executive Notebooks (briefings, bios, agendas, etc.) prior to the conference
- Communicate pertinent information about the conference to attendees before, during, and after, as required by ATP
- Provide on-site support for conference registration, creating name badges, manning video projections, set up/coordinate online services, and other event related duties
- Provide support to the development of an after action report and assistance in archiving the event documentation
- Provide strategic communications support for ATP. Examples of support include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop a comprehensive communications plan for ATP
- Promote the organization
- Clearly articulate the organization’s point of view
- Determine methods to best reach the intended audience
- Evaluate the plan for effectiveness
- Respond to for requests for information
- Use the full spectrum of communications, including web and social media
- Handle internal and external communication, newsletters, reports, programs, posters, publications, and Splash page announcements
- Provide editorial services for grammar, format, content, and style consistent with applicable customer style manuals and intended audience.
- Developing messages for potentially the entire customers workforce
- Crafting senior messages and talking points for various target audiences
- Implementing the ATP Strategic Communication Plan
- Provide presentation support to Office leadership to include message intent, developing targeted/tailored graphical concept and designs
- Preparing and supporting the development of Town Halls including preparing answers to questions posed at the Town Halls
- Use written and verbal skills to create a wide range of product and corporate communication material
- Use advanced functions of Microsoft Office and SharePoint on a daily basis
- Tracking and managing formal taskers workflow, completion and close-out
- Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports, staff summaries and correspondence
- Apply a broad range of expertise to lead projects and programs, implement change management initiatives and recommend process improvements
Required
• Bachelor Degree in Public Relations or Communication
• At least 5 years demonstrated experienced updating web content and using electronic publishing applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator or Adobe Pro
• At least 5 years demonstrated experience using APA style writing and editing
• At least 10 years demonstrated experience in communications strategy development
• At least 10 years demonstrated experience planning and executing senior leaders’ (General/Flag Officer, SES or corporate equivalent) speaking events and crafting Q&A responses
• At least 5 years demonstrated experience writing staff summaries and reports
• At least 10 years demonstrated experience creating and refining briefings of complex topics using PowerPoint
• Know and understand briefing techniques that convey complex information in easily understandable formats.
• Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports, staff summaries and correspondence
• Use current computer technology to be able to produce visual briefing aids such as charts, graphs, slides, and multimedia products.
• Experience and demonstrated competency performing significant duties with little or no supervision.
• Possesses strong written and oral communication skill and can interact with senior-level directors and/or agency heads.
• Able to extract and synthesize complex information to prepare Briefing, Read Ahead and other materials. Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Applications and ability to independently develop material using these applications.
