BCForward is currently looking for Laboratory Technician in Indianapolis, IN 46268

Position Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268

Expected Duration: 10+ months

Estimated Start Date: 4/1/2024

PayRate: $21/hr

Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm

• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment is preferred and basic computer proficiency is required.

• Candidates must be detail oriented, comfortable working in a laboratory environment with automation and be able to work independently (after appropriate training) with high personal accountability. A professional, customer-focused attitude is necessary.

• Strong organization and communication skills are required and the ability to work in a team environment is also critical for this role.

• The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have a willingness to learn new skills, be flexible to changing workflows and be able to multitask.

• The employee will be required to work with automation to handle chemical sample vials through a process that will add a printed barcode label to the bottom of the vials, and interface with a computer.
  
• The primary software used for this role is custom to this role so training will be provided.
  
• Additional duties will include transporting vials from the main CRS storage location to the process lab, processed via automation, hand placed into destination trays, and returned to the main CRS storage location.
  
• The candidate should have great attention for detail, be comfortable around automation, familiar with operating MS-Office software on a PC, and capable of managing a workflow in detail.
  
• Additional duties may include interfacing with sample storage systems to retrieve or transfer sample vials and insure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order.
  
• An understanding of the Agriscience safety culture including personal protective equipment will be an expectation of this role
