Job description

The Controls Engineer provides the leadership necessary to maintain the readiness of packaging and PLC equipment used in the production process. As well as influence the quality and safety efforts in the plant. The position helps to develop packaging technicians to maintain equipment and provide the technical leadership necessary to move the company forward to meet its goals.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain operational readiness of packaging and PLC equipment in the plant
• Supervise Packaging Technicians, efforts to maintain equipment
• Resolve production packaging maintenance issues
• Support safety initiatives in the plant
• Ensure good quality of the product
• Manage packaging equipment projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Lead All PLC efforts in the Plant
• Make any necessary PLC programming changes
• Manage electronic Controls projects
• Working within cold and wet environment

Position Experience Qualifications:

• Electronic, Mechanical and PLC Troubleshooting Experience
• 10 years experiences in mechanical, electrical systems troubleshooting and maintenance and in supervising maintenance personnel

Position Education & Training Preferred:

• BSME, or BSEE, BSEET, BSIE, Undergraduate degree in technical electronic field
