Job description

The All of Us Center for Data Linkage and Acquisition (CLAD Program) Coordinator will coordinate efforts across several CLAD Milestones supported by the Iowa CLAD team. All of Us is an NIH program managed by academic and industry partners to develop a repository of one million consented patients with data from electronic health records (EHR), survey data and other supplemental information. The University of Iowa is part of the CLAD effort to link patient data in this repository to medical claims, mortality, and community-level social determinants of health (SDoH) data. Using geocoding methods, the University of Iowa team is taking leadership in using residential history data to link to the Environmental Justice Index SDoH dataset. These activities will be accomplished with colleagues from the University of Washington, Axle, Palantir, and Datavant industry partners. Additionally, the CLAD contract is managed by the University of Colorado and in partnership with the existing All of Us academic partners and NIH representatives. The program coordinator will be expected to oversee reporting and communication across these different groups for the activities led by the University of Iowa. All milestones for the CLAD project are to be delivered within an 18-month timeframe.

This is a specified-term appointment at 50% effort for one year. After one year, the specified-term appointment may be eligible for renewal dependent on funding.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Operational and Financial Management

• Monitor progress on project deliverables, following identified timelines and outcome schedules.
• Assist with documentation and reporting of requirements for each milestone.
• Oversee invoicing to NIH upon milestone completion.
• Interface with the Multisite Principal Investigators for timely decision-making and operational continuity.
• Utilize project management tools to aid in process standardization.

• Assist the Project Management Team or Project Sponsor in coordinating activities, resources, and information to keep project processes running smoothly.

Communication and Outreach

• Manage communication within the Iowa CLAD team and partners working on the activities for which the Iowa team takes the lead or supports
• Attend CLAD weekly meetings and disseminate notes.
• Managing communication to CLAD stakeholders (University of Colorado team, NIH, and All of Us)

Compliance

• Collaborate with the Iowa CLAD team to ensure that project-related activities are completed in accordance with the timeline to achieve objectives and goals.
• Aid in aggregating project data to develop project reports.

Quality Improvement

• Oversee the quality of documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience (typically 3-5 years) in administrative/program management with an extensive ability to carry out ongoing operational functions effectively and efficiently in support of individuals, teams, and/or units.
• Knowledge of electronic publication layout and production and printing requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, include the ability to compose grammatically correct documents in a concise, logical, and organized format.
• Proficient in computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience and knowledge in technology (e.g., teleconferencing via Skype, Zoom, others; webinar access/management).
• Experience with project management and evaluation.

• Experience with budget management

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge related to health care systems and practices.
• Knowledge of Social determinants of health concepts and related publicly available data.
• Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures.
