Job description
Primary Function:
Responsible for managing the daily operations, tasks and performance of the warehouse team. This includes receiving, shipping, transfers, ensuring inventory accuracy, space utilization, productivity, and overall service to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
SHIPPING & RECEIVING:
- Ensure all incoming components and outgoing products for damage and/or defect per company SOPs
- Ensure that all outgoing products meet customer requirements (correct pallet, palletizing, paperwork, etc.)
- Check component invoices for accuracy before acceptance.
- Scheduling and timely loading unloading of all trucks (incoming/outgoing)
- Fill customer product orders as required from warehouse stock.
- Ensure that all raw materials, components, in-process and finished goods movements are done physically and electronically via SAP inventory standards.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure inventory accuracy of all packaging components, including quantity and location in SAP.
- Supply alternate production location necessary packaging and shipping components on a timely basis.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, 6 months, yearly inventory cycle count per SAP Inventory standards.
- OPERATIONS
- Ensure primary location has required chemicals and components at least one shift ahead of schedule.
- Assign warehouse personnel to pre weigh and stage chemicals and components for production.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
MISCELLANEOUS:
- Plan work, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
- Keep warehouse clean and free from debris and potential safety hazards
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, 6 months, yearly inventory cycle count.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven management of fast-paced Warehouse operations
- Strong People management experience
- Bilingual (Spanish) (Preferred)
- Strong organizational and people skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Computer skills in MS Office Suite/Google Suite, & ERP system
- Forklift Certification a plus, must complete within 30 days of employment
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (required)
- Knows how to load and unload pallets and containers to and from our six-level high, approximately 35 feet, rack locations
- Available to work extended hours, depending on the demand
- Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement systems and methodologies.
