Drs. Brian Ogolsky and Jennifer Hardesty in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies are seeking to fill a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate position to commence as early as August 2024 and renewable for up to three years. This position will be reappointed annually depending on departmental needs and funding. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise or experience in the following areas: 1) relationship or family science in context, broadly defined, 2) advanced quantitative methods and analysis (e.g., dyadic analysis, longitudinal analysis), and 3) project management and team leadership.

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is a highly ranked program with a proud history of studying relationships, families, and human development. Today our research, outreach, and educational pursuits address contemporary social issues that affect children, youth, adults, relationships, and families through quality research, teaching, and outreach programs. The department has state-of-the-art family observation facilities and a child development laboratory.

This position provides an opportunity for early career development, publication, and supervision by national leaders in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree in human development/family studies, psychology, communication, or closely related field. We seek applicants with strong methodological and quantitative data analysis skills, writing skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.
