Provides day-to-day strategic and proactive labor and employment law advice, counsel and guidance to HR and management on a variety of subjects, including hiring practices and procedures, employee discipline, performance management and separations, protected leaves and accommodations, wage and hour requirements, collective bargaining obligations and strategies, unfair labor practices, grievances, and arbitrations. Ensures compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations, including development, implementation, interpretation, and guidance regarding company policies and practices, and preventive law training. Manages labor and employment law litigation matters and represents the company in mediation, arbitration and responding to federal and state administrative/regulatory agency charges.
