Location : Elk Grove Village, IL.

Hours : M-F: 8AM – 5PM.

Pay range : $22/h+ (DOE).

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned route.
• Document, record, and complete driver log when making deliveries.
• Pick and assemble orders as indicated on the pick list.
• Confirm accurate item delivery with customer and obtain customer signature on Sales Order.
• Receive customer payments at time of delivery, ensuring correct amounts received.
• Stack and organize warehouse pallets.
• Documents and completes driver logs accurately documenting returns and customer notes when making deliveries.
• Assist receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and inventory.
• Coordinate with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
• Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy.
• Participate in the weekly warehouse meetings.
• Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
• Other duties as required from manager.
• Obligation to answer to all management as requested.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to travel within or outside of Illinois as needed.
• Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Working Conditions.
• Noise Level: Loud while indoors.

Other Requirements:

• Basic level English – Read/write/speak/listen. 
• Maintains a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed. 
• Maintain a positive attitude. 
• Ability to work independently and as a team. 
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload. 
• High school Diploma required; AA and above strongly preferred. 
• Experience in food industry, preferably in Japanese food industry is plus.
• Experience in Japanese restaurant business is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic mathematical knowledge – combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, weight, etc.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Has strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft NAV, highly preferred.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors strongly preferred.
• Class B license.
• Forklift certification.
• Trusted and capable long distance driver.
