Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Janesville, Wi 53546
Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 + Relocation

Founded in 1965 we are the premier producer of truck & van bodies in the US. We specialize in the manufacturing of dry freight, custom cargo, refrigerated truck & platform van bodies with 14 manufacturing facilities across the US. Our facility in Janesville has the need for a strong Continuous Improvement Engineer who can support the site leader in terms of creating a continuous improvement culture, assess lean methodologies & provide training and lead cross-functional teams to drive performance tied to KPIs.

What You Will Be Doing

1) Document current processes & propose improvements using problem solving tools incl: VSM, Daily Management, & Visual Management
2) Standardize processes across business units by developing SOPs, standard work & 5S activities
3) Implement process improvement initiatives following Lean methodology
4) Create new processes & tracking systems incl: identifying & tracking appropriate manufacturing KPIs, Kaizen activities & savings
5) Lead Kaizen activities & track financial savings for validation
6) Facilitate & lead cross-functional teams to achieve Kaizen objectives
7) Responsible for Kaizen funnel & JDI plan

What You Need for this Position

1) Bachelors in Business / Engineering or closely related field
2) 5+ years experience in manufacturing applying lean methodologies & problem-solving tools
3) 3+ years experience in lean methodologies & continuous improvement activities along w/ financial calculation of savings, budget forecasting, ROI calculation etc
4) Trained in lean principles i.e. (5S, Waste Elimination, Mistake Proofing, PDCA, Root Cause, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Lead Time Reduction)
5) Strong analytical skills & experience in financial calculations of savings & ROI
6) Experience developing CI activities in material management & SIOP (Sales Inventory Operating Planning)
7) Experience running Kaizen events is crucial
