BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY

Performs routine (journey-level) planning and research work in the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) for the Planning and Programming Branch. Work involves developing and programming construction type projects; preparing implementation plans; and monitoring policies and procedures. The position works with Engineers, Architects, and Project Management (PM) Staff within the CFMO to assist with scopes of work and scopes of services for proposed projects. Reports to the Master Planner and works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.



WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week

PHYSICAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed both inside and outside. When inside, incumbent is exposed to normal office temperatures and noise. When outside, incumbent may be required to work in and be exposed to seasonal inclement weather. Work typically involves standing, walking, and working with trade tools for extended periods of time. May lift, carry, move, and/or set up equipment and materials that weigh up to 25 pounds. Must be able to lift/carry gear and be able to perform work that involves investigating all aspects of facility fire/safety infrastructure that may provide exposure to potential hazards (weather related heat, rain, insects, etc.).
