The company has two offices, one in Brooklyn and a manufacturing facility in New Jersey. The team is comprised of some of the leading technical minds in personal care with over 50 years of combined experience in the industry. 

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Cosmetic Chemist at VIZOR in Brooklyn, NY. The Cosmetic Chemist will help the Research and Development team create exciting new formulations to help support both internal innovation and for external customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and be passionate about working in the the cosmetics industry. We are looking for a creative problem solver who is technical, detail oriented, and curious. 

Responsibilities

•Research and develop product formulations for skin, body, and hair care products 

•Utilize technical knowledge of chemistry and cosmetic science to create innovative, safe, and effective products

•Conduct laboratory and field testing to analyze the performance of products

•Be comfortable with research and development, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team

•Collaborate with other teams, such as Sales, Customer Service, and Innovation to ensure product design and development meets the needs of our customers

•Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects with various deadlines in a fast-paced environment

•Maintain records and documentation of product development processes. Basic computer knowledge including excel, word and powerpoint are a must

•Stay up to date with changes in the cosmetic industry and new regulations
