Position Summary: The Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in defining and implementing strategic technology solutions that align with our business objectives. The Enterprise Solution Architect is a trusted advisor that collaborates with various stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors, to design and deliver scalable, robust, and secure enterprise-level solutions. This role will have a broad array of responsibilities across Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Integration Architecture, and Security Architecture disciplines and lead enterprise-wide initiatives, aligning the strategic solutions with Enterprise Architecture framework, standards, and best practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
- Evaluates and documents the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies and gaps through aging of the technologies, or misalignment with business requirements, or enhancements and upgrades.
- Apply a combination of business process analysis and technical knowledge to develop enterprise architectural deliverables that identify and describe the relationships among functions, data, applications and technology at various levels of the organization.
- Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10 or more years of overall experience; 5 or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
- Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, standards, and roadmaps.
- Experience delivering presentations to varied audiences, technical and non-technical.
- TOGAF, IASA or any other architecture-related certification is beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Required Proficiency in various technology stacks, including cloud computing, databases, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of network and data architecture, IT infrastructure, and cloud development.
- Experience with cloud application deployments and maintenance
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
- Knowledge of cloud databases like Snowflake or Redshift
- Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, and DevOps)
- Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Knowledge of different modeling languages (such as UML and ArchiMate)
- Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Knowledge in following areas: Manufacturing and Distribution, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), TPMS (Trade Promotion Management System), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- Skilled at influencing, guiding and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making.
- Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to understand the long-term ( "big picture ") and short-term perspectives of situations.
- Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements.
