DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to assure the successful completion of our projects. This includes large multi- discipline and major single discipline projects, both turnkey and services only. Emphasis is placed on project profitability, schedule compliance, communications, documentation, use of project management techniques, and client interaction and support. The Construction Manager provides the management expertise necessary to satisfy the clients and MTI's (Matrix Technologies) project requirements and objectives, thereby placing MTI in a favorable position for repeat business with assigned clients.
SPECIFICATION
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelors degree in Construction related field and/or Engineering
- Ten years Construction related or engineering experience
- PE and/or PMP preferred
- Experience with ACC Build software or related Construction Management software preferred
- Must be able to travel up to 80% to 100% of time in the future
DUTIES
For those projects assigned to the Construction Manager, he or she shall be responsible for the proper planning and implementation as defined in the Matrix Operations Manual and in our Quality Systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Implementing proposal procedures and action plans as detailed in the Matrix Operations Manual (MOM) and in the Quality Systems (QS) documents.
- Reviewing with project & department manager(s) the assignment of personnel to project teams.
- Implementing the site/client safety and work rules
- Implementing the project procedures as detailed in MOM and QS
- Developing and maintaining project schedules.
- Developing and maintaining project budgets.
- Directing and coordinating all work related to assigned projects.
- Maintaining project communications through regular review meetings and day-to-day contact.
- Maintaining project correspondence files.
- Assuring that all contractual requirements are satisfied.
- Maintaining client contact and coordinating flow of information between the Client and MTI.
- Maintaining records of purchased material.
- Issuing and administering of subcontracts.
- Coordinating billing with the MTI for assigned projects.
- Closing field related files and as PM with final job recaps and critiques at completion of projects.
- Recommend changes to the MOM and QS as needed to help streamline MTI's project performance and expertise in the field of project management.
- Assist Marketing & Sales Department as assigned by DPM.
- Maintain positive client relationships and develop potential work opportunities.
- Provide project managers with input on personnel assigned to your projects concerning their performance, attitude, potential, and/or problem areas as appropriate.
- Represent MTI in professional organizations, and societies related to the fields of project management and engineering.
