Description:
Create preliminary inspection, detail component and assembly drawings (2D and 3D). Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) standards to component drawings to facilitate high quality low cost manufacturing. Perform reverse engineering analysis of inspection data and material lab analysis to specify appropriate tolerances and materials for PMA components. Identify critical part characteristics and part function based on the understanding of schematics exploded views and other technical information. Create test and assembly fixture drawings. Apply appropriate aerospace design standards and specifications to component drawings. Create test procedures, schematics of components to support the development of the PMA component. Manufacturing liaison with suppliers Coordinate drawing activity and provide guidance to other designers. Recommend methods and processes to continuously improve effectiveness and productivity. Oversee complete part life cycle starting from initial investigation to FAA approval documentation. Develop detailed engineering data packages for the customers as per their requirement. Develop test plans, test reports, conformity reports for new parts for FAA PMA approval. Research and investigation of new parts that include identification of aircraft eligibility. Skills: Solid works, AutoCAD, reverse engineering, aerospace, PMA, GD&T Top Skills Details: Solid works, AutoCAD, reverse engineering, aerospace Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors Degree- Mechanical Industry experience with Solid works, 2D & 3D environments 3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry Knowledge of aerospace materials and processes in a manufacturing environment.
