Days | Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p Nights | Monday- Friday 4p-2:45a + Saturday 12p-6p
Position Summary:
The Welder is responsible for overseeing the operation of machinery used in the fabrication and repair of metal structures, tools, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on both small and large components.
- Inspect welded surfaces, structures, and components to detect any defects or errors.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses, protective masks, and safety shoes.
- Monitor machinery operation and temperature to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute welding tasks in various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
- Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and ensure compliance with ITAR requirements.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed blueprints.
- Ability to accurately identify and locate specifications.
- Knowledgeable in geometric tolerances and proficient in recognizing all related symbols.
- Thorough understanding of general tolerances and the ability to comprehend sections and views.
- Familiarity with reference systems and the ability to locate and interpret stock lists on drawings.
- Competence in operating presses and using hand tools such as drill motors and grinders.
- Proficiency in sawing, mitering, and fitting fabrications.
Experience:
- Certified in both TIG and MIG welding.
