Job Title: Sales Leader
Position Overview:
The Sales Manager partners with the CEO to establish and monitor the overall sales strategy to ensure revenue growth, drive sales efforts, and develop a successful sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the CEO to develop sales goals and targets for direct sales business lines and provide feedback in order to ensure sales targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Creates a vision and strategy while providing decisive leadership to the sales team.
- Achieves/exceeds annual revenue/margin plans while measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of all sales programs and driving accountability.
- Leverages existing sales tools and builds new ones, to drive efficiency and effectiveness while identifying and implementing best practices inside and outside of the company to improve the sales process.
- Recruits, builds and develops a high performing sales team to deliver business results.
- Defines new sales staff commission and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
- Develops and tracks KPI’s for sales team members.
- Develops and mentors the sales team to ensure success in meeting their sales goals through sales training, sales metrics, and ongoing feedback.
- Develops communication and territory management skills throughout the sales team.
- Manages customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction. Resolves unique customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Learns and understands all components of customer delivery including production and logistics to elevate the overall customer delivery process.
- Maintains customer data, sales activity, and forecasts in the current CRM system.
- Ensures representation at local and national trade shows, conferences, and meetings.
- Develop sales plans and strategies.
- Develop and promote new products based on customers’ needs and market research.
- Plan and manage sales projection and budget.
- Collect market intel which include competitors’ price and other activities.
Capabilities:
- Proven success and extensive experience managing a sales team
- Proven success in turn-around company situations
- 6+ years of sales management experience selling to general contractors, builders, hardware stores, big box stores, etc.
- Previous ecommerce / marketplace experience with large online retailers
- Partners with the CEO to establish and monitor the overall sales strategy to ensure revenue growth, drive sales efforts, and develop a successful sales team.
