Job description


To be used in acquisitions only:

Under limited supervision, responsible for providing sourcing and procurement services to clients. Manages the entire sourcing and procurement cycle from sourcing and purchasing to settlement. Sources for diverse and competitive sources of raw materials, utilities and other services. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Monitors inventory requests, production schedules and purchase requisitions to coordinate purchasing activities for current/anticipated demand of materials and services. Collects suppliers' quotations and examines bids. Identifies and selects suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality and delivery. Negotiates terms, and manages supplier relationships.


JOB DUTIES:
• Procures products from a predefined list of suppliers.
• Reviews inventory recommendations and anticicipates necessary product required to fill customer orders.
• Manages assigned inventories lines by reviewing inventory parameters regularly and the making the appropriate adjustments, updating committed stock requirements, requesting new items to be set-up, reviewing overstock, and processing vendors returns, keeping up-to-date with the manufacturers and associated data as assigned (i.e. current pricing, quotes, new products, promotions, etc.).
• Resolves shipping discrepancies and invoice mismatches as required.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with suppliers and manufacturer representatives of assigned lines.
• Provides various global purchasing services in support of the business unit as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, statistics, analystics, or a related field and five (5) or more years of experience or an equivalent combination.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Powerful presentation skills with advanced PowerPoint design knowledge.
• Ability to lead a diverse team toward measurable results.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong project management skills. Excellent time management skills
• Advanced Excel Skills.
