Senior Accountant:
This position is responsible for the full scope of the day-to-day financial and business aspects of the Winery. The position reports to the Owner and performs the following duties:
•  Manages all accounting and finance functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing.
•  Reviews, evaluates, and implements accounting and purchasing systems, policies, and procedures.
•  Ensures financial reports, such as monthly reconciliations and inventory reports as well as others, are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
•  Creates and maintains accurate records for all daily transactions.
•  Oversees and records accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and reviews and process invoices and purchase orders, and ensures compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures.
•  Provides management with timely reviews of the organization’s financial status and progress and performs month-end closing procedures.
•  Processes bi-weekly payroll on time and accurately through payroll vendor.
•  Directs Company’s budget preparation and analysis process and reports.
•  Reviews operations from a financial and business perspective and makes proactive recommendations to the Owners/General Manager.
•  Works together with outside accounting firms on cost accounting and tax preparation.
•  Assists with company strategic planning.
•  Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate enjoys regular collaboration and using their analytical and numerical skills, strong ethics, and ability to manage competing tasks to help production, operations, sales and every aspect of the Company’s success. A strong foundational knowledge of financial and accounting procedures in a winery production environment is required. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Suite and other tools necessary for efficient financial management.
Minimum Requirements
•  A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required.
•  5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting or similar role in the wine and vineyard industry.
