They are hiring a Senior Autonomy Engineer with expertise in LIDAR technology to spearhead the resolution of intricate challenges within vehicle autonomy. The successful candidate will hold a crucial position in crafting the design of future autonomy systems, tackling the most formidable issues and influencing the trajectory of the company’s state-of-the-art technology.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Autonomy Engineer, you will collaborate with machine learning and robotics engineers to create, implement, test and deploy perception solutions for autonomous vehicles.
Independently influence the strategy for solving intricate problems in AVs.
Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to formulate software and system requirements.
Develop, test and deploy software using C/C++/CUDA.
Take the lead in code quality activities, encompassing design and code reviews.
Monitor and analyze the technical performance of the system in the field.
Offer technical guidance to the Technical Support Team for issue diagnosis and resolution.
Skillset:
At least three years of practical experience in the industry working on real-world robot perception systems.
Master’s or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or a related field.
Expertise in Lidar, Vision, or Lidar-Camera sensor fusion specifically for Object Detection/Segmentation/Tracking.
Robust experience applying Machine Learning or Deep Learning Technologies to Lidar or Sensor Fusion.
Strong programming proficiency in C/C++ with hands-on experience in Linux development.
Familiarity with standard development tools, including git and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with fast Machine Learning development cycles and expertise in model optimization and deployment.
Proficiency in Python, machine learning software frameworks, and GPU programming in CUDA or similar languages.

Salary: $150,000—$190,000
