Description

The Office of Registration and Operations, Division of Operations has an opening for a Revenue Data Workflow Specialist I. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Automated Document Processing Information Capture Section.


As a Revenue Data Workflow Specialist I, you will be responsible for capturing fields of data in MFE (Modernized Front End) within the Automated Document Processing Information Capture Section. Keying speed and capturing data accurately are necessary attributes for this position.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing out of balance transactions identified by the scanning system.
• Reviewing and identifying low confidence or unrecognized characters.
• Working exceptions on Sales, Withholding, Individual Income, and Unemployment Insurance documents identified by MFE Processing System.
• Participating in the completion of special projects or in assisting other areas when backlogs occur.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional / Supplemental information:

• Must successfully complete a background investigation including an FBI criminal history record check (fingerprint check).
• Must comply with all tax laws.
• Mostly at a desk using a computer and telephone.
• Some travel for training and education.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years experience in tax processing, tax administration, or business administration.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title typically perform duties in a document processing center.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
