Job Title: Dean of Upper School
Location: Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction (ACAGJ), Grand Junction, CO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Headmaster
Work Days: 235 days, Monday - Friday, Full Time
Desired Start Date: August 1, 2024*
*Please note teachers/Deans will need to be able to attend training in Hillsdale, MI for up to 10 days in June. ACAGJ and Hillsdale cover travel to the conference, lodging, and food.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on education and experience

Position Summary:
At Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction department and school leaders support teachers in the creation of their own lessons within the framework set by our content-rich curriculum, in collaboration with colleagues and in partnership with Hillsdale College's Barney Charter School Initiative. Deans guide teachers in mastering the key elements of their instruction and to the intellectual and moral betterment of their students. Ascent Classical Academies deans take seriously their own moral and intellectual improvement, as part of a hard-working, supportive, and excellence-driven culture.

Successful candidates f oster professional relationships with faculty and staff, s eek collaborative relationships with parents, colleagues, and students. Additionally, they will m odel moral character in line with the school's core virtues and the pursuit of the Good, True, and Beautiful

Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools, Inc. (ACACS) is a network of public charter schools in Colorado comprised of four campuses. The governing Board of Directors at ACACS has contracted with Minga Education Group (MEG) to provide employment services for all staff at ACACS. Through this partnership, MEG provides employment services, a personnel system for human resources, benefits, payroll services, and access to a 401(k) plan. For naming purposes, Minga Education Group is the employer.
