Responsible for the Supplier Quality function, developing and maintaining supplier quality through the use of processes, systems and metrics. In addition, the internal Quality Auditor ensures that organizational processes comply with standards (e.g. AS9100, etc) as well as customer and organizational requirements.
Supplier Development
• Develop partnerships with Supplier Quality and Manufacturing Organizations
• Spread AS9100, 6S, Lean, continuous improvement and UTC Gold to our suppliers
• Work with suppliers to address corrective action requests and implement preventative actions
• Coordinate Supplier ESA Activities. Maintain ESA Records
• Audit suppliers to requirements of AS9100, ASQR-01, ESA, PO’s etc
Supplier Measurement
• Develop and maintain supplier quality rating system
• Work with procurement to develop, implement, and maintain complete supplier metrics
Quality Audits
• Ensure the effective deployment and measurement of the Quality Management System.
• Develop and lead coordinated, common quality processes across the GKN Cromwell site.
• Ensure quality requirements are integrated with supply chain quality procedures.
• Develop and lead Special Action Teams as necessary to address immediate issues affecting the
Quality Management System
• Develop, implement and monitor enterprise-wide Supplier Scorecard reporting.
• Development of audit plans and audit schedules;
• Participate and lead quality audits.
Education
• BS or BA or equivalent experience in quality, engineering, and or manufacturing role required
Formal Qualifications
• MUST BE A U.S CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the management of manufacturing and quality organizations.
• Prefer: Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
• Must have a knowledge of ISO 9000, AS9100, commercial and military aerospace quality and engineering specifications.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact and persuade all levels of Management, Staff, Hourly employees, and customers.
• Computer literate in statistical software, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Project Management.
• Experience working with SAP preferred.
Ability to travel 25-50%
