Newport News Behavioral Health Center is a 108 bed intensive and highly structured residential treatment for psychiatric and behavioral health needs of adolescent males and females ages 11-18yrs. Newport News has an on-site certified school, art and music therapists, and vocational programming. Newport News, VA is a beautiful seaside city, rich in maritime history and conveniently located to DC and other major North Eastern cities.

POSITION SUMMARY :
The Quality Improvement Director has broad responsibility to protect the facility’s assets from loss. The Quality Improvement Director is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The structure and functions of the Quality Improvement Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M. © Program.

QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school with a bachelor’s degree or higher. Three years clinical experience in a psychiatric in‑patient facility with knowledge of high- risk areas. Three years management experience. Knowledge of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction and claims management; excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Preferred 1 year experience working and/or treating adolescents.
