The Maintenance Department is looking to fill the role of Maintenance Lubrication Specialist in the Lee’s Summit, Missouri facility. The Maintenance Lubrication Specialist is responsible to maintain lubrication levels in all machines and to provide cleaning of oil around the machines to maintain a safe work area for IPL team members. The Lee's Summit facility is one of the primary manufacturing sites for producing customized thin-wall injection molded containers, lids, overcaps and custom packaging solutions for branded and private label food and consumer product companies all over the world. Position Title: Maintenance Lubrication Specialist
Location: Lee’s Summit, Missouri
What you will bring to the role:
A reliable, dependable candidate who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.
The successful candidate will:
- Know all lubricants used in the machines and the proper level they should be kept at. In addition to maintaining lubrication levels the specialist should be maintaining the cleanliness of the production floor around the machines and also the lubrication area where lubricants are stored.
- On a daily basis to monitor hydraulic lubrication level in machines to ensure they are filled to the proper level with the correct fluid and not overfilled due to safety concerns.
- Use vacuum extraction, mopping, and floor cleaning equipment the lubrication specialist should evaluate and clean around all the injection molding machines as needed to support a safe work environment.
- Vacuum extract all containment pans around the machine areas to prevent oil from spilling on to floors.
- Be able to use a hydraulic pump to transfer lubricants in a safe manner being attended.
- Empty all used oil containers on machines into red recycled oil tank.
- Fill all lubrication units for way oil to proper levels.
- Fill all automatic grease units to proper level using food grade grease as needed.
- Weekly facilitate drop off of new stainless oil totes and return empty totes as needed. If low on supply of any lubricants the lubrication specialist shall request re order of lubes from manager.
- Weekly facilitate pick up of recycled lubricants and any other lubricants are safely and environmentally disposed of.
- As part of providing a safe work environment absorbent pads and socks are to be used by the lubrication specialist around machines as needed to avoid oil spreading out to walk areas and creating an unsafe work area.
- Maintain an organized lubrication area, with all containers marked and full ready to used when needed.
- Perform other Duties as assigned.
Additional requirements:
Candidate must be able to pass a Post Offer Essential Function Test (POET) and an Occupational Examination to demonstrate the capability to safety perform the essential function of the job to include:
- Vision Test
- Hearing Test
- Dexterity Test on Wrists, Grip, and Pinch (grip must be within the gender and age requirements for each candidate tested)
- Lifting test to confirm ability to lift 50 lbs. from ankle, knee, and chest height to a level of ground, 35” and 55” height.
- Push/Pull test to confirm ability to move 80 lbs. to confirm ability to move product via an assisted device in our facility.
