Job description
St. Johns Country Day School, an independent college preparatory school, is seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the field of caregiver providing superior rehabilitative care to students.
Qualifications
The position requires:
- Valid license or certification
- Bachelor’s degree or related background in athletic training
- CPR/AED certified
- ATC certification required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and distribute any prescribed pharmaceuticals as needed to students
during the school day.
- Coordinate with Division Heads and Athletic Director on any concussion management.
- Provide rehab opportunities to students during school hours.
- Provide the point of contact for parents and additional medical personnel.
- Attend to any medical emergency on a K-12 campus.
- Maintain records relating to mandatory student physicals.
- Handle clerical tasks, such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, or restocking supplies
Other Requirements and Skills
- Proven work experience as an Athletic Trainer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the varied challenges students face. Social, emotional, and physical requirements.
- Understanding of first-aid treatments and physical therapy techniques, and equipment
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
