Job description

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a Travel RN working in Critical Care, you will have the opportunity to provide your exceptional skill sets and individual professional accountability through adherence to standards of nursing care of critically ill, and through a commitment to act in accordance with ethical principles. 
 
Position: Travel Registered Nurse - Critical Care
Location: Ardmore, Oklahoma / Mercy Hospital
Schedule : 12 Hour Days & Nights offered
Contract :13 Weeks

What You'll Do:
As a  Registered Nurse you will be accountable for the provision of nursing care assigned patients in all phases of care in ICU. Y ou'll be at the forefront of compassionate care in Mercy Hospital Ardmore ICU Department.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including vital signs, neurological status, and overall clinical status.
  • Monitor changes in patient conditions and respond promptly to any deterioration. 
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery.  
  • Perform advanced medical procedures, such as inserting central lines, arterial lines, and managing ventilators.  
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.  
  • Respond rapidly to medical emergencies within the ICU, including code situations, and provide immediate life-saving interventions.  
  • Maintain proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) protocols.  
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.  
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing updates on the patient's condition, explaining treatment plans, and offering emotional support.  
  • Ensure that patients' rights and ethical considerations are respected in the delivery of care.
