Connecticut (CT) Children's is a 187-bed free-standing children's hospital in Hartford, CT, currently hiring for multiple openings!

CT Children's will be opening a 12-bed Med/Psych Unit on the main campus in January 2024, which will be the first of its kind in Connecticu, and oOne of a handful of such units in the United States.

o Dedicated multidisciplinary team including: pediatric hospital medicine, psychology, clinical social work, nurse practitioner, nursing, behavioral health milieu therapists, child life specialist, education specialist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and nutritionist.

o Access to all subspecialty services within CT Children's

The Psychiatrist role will include ability to create and shape care delivery and curriculum on the unit as well as leadership opportunities to grow towards a Co-Director role (shared directorship with Pediatric Hospital Medicine). Additionally, this will be a faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut

Education and Experience

Graduate from accredited school of medicine required
* Successful completion of a Psychiatry residency required
* Successful completion of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship required
* Prior experience in Med/Psych settings or consultation-liaison services preferred


Licenses and Certifications

* Current, and maintained, unrestricted license to practice in the State of CT
* Current, and maintained, DEA with Controlled Substance licensure
* Board certification / Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry required
* BLS
* Appropriate annual CME units based on the requirements of the specifying board
