Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role
The Quality Technicians main responsibility will be to inspect incoming, in process and final inspection of material to validate conformance to drawing and specification requirements.
- Measuring mechanical product, utilizing calipers, micrometers, height gage, dial indicators, weld gages, protractors, depth gages and feeler gages.
- Validating wire harnesses, circuit card assemblies, and cables utilizing rulers, x-ray, and other electronic verification equipment.
- Track and maintain calibration of testing equipment.
- Gage calibration and maintenance.
- Verifying hardware visually based on defined characteristics.
- Documenting all aspects of inspection, reporting any concerns or issues found, segregating non-compliant material, and if required, sorting product (both in the warehouse, production floor, and final inspection).
- Problem solving and continuous improvement team initiatives.
- Involved in the product return process to external providers
- Other work-related duties as assigned by the manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with various M&TE (measurement and test equipment) as identified above
- 1 year experience in quality preferred
- 1 year calibration experience preferred
- Understanding of blueprint/drawings concepts, including GD&T principles
- Previous problem-solving experience
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Strong sense of detail
- Strong communication skills
