Job description

Position Summary

Functions as customer service representative both in person and over the phone at Campus Health Services the Olin building. Typical duties of successful candidate include scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, check in patients to clinics, medical insurance verifications, fee collection and coordination of patient referrals.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; a minimum of one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical office, medical clinic, or in a mental health office; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Completion of a healthcare or medical office assistant certificate or similar coursework; extensive knowledge of computer software including Microsoft products, Outlook email and Athena electronic health records; understanding of HIPAA/patient confidentiality; critical decision ma king skills while under stress; excellent interpersonal skills to schedule appointments and interact with physicians and nursing staff.
