Responsible to drive initiatives and support processes impacting multiple Fresh Departments. This includes all tracking and reporting of Fresh Sourcing event results. Development, preparation, and upkeep of all Fresh Sourcing processes and training documentation. Supporting broader Fresh Sourcing in events with data, analysis, ad hoc information. Crafting and facilitating our Fresh Business Planning process.

Recipe for Success - What's “in store” for the role

• Maintain and implement the defined ways of work across Fresh Category, Suppliers, Fresh Sourcing, and Private Brands to leverage size and scale across ADUSA. This also includes partnering with internal stakeholders to identify process changes, and accurately advising the broader Fresh Sourcing team and updating formal process documentation.
• Drive and maintain accurate reporting and tracking of all Fresh Sourcing events on a period basis to keep ADUSA Brands advised of results.
• Drive data-rich discovery efforts to help support Fresh Sourcing during Sourcing events and aligned category reviews. Data sources include (but not limited to) Internal Shipments/POS, Circana, Range Me, category trends, Brand strategy, payment terms, sustainable packaging reporting, etc. This information should efficiently advise the teams and allow them to accelerate their timelines and results.
• Preparation and delivery of functional training both within Fresh Sourcing and on Fresh Sourcing topics for other areas such as Category or Private Brand teams.
• Partner with both internal and external collaborators in support of our Fresh Business Planning processes.

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience combination of education and work-related experience.
• 4+ years of related Sourcing, Negotiation, Category, vendor management, or data analytics is preferred
• General knowledge of grocery retail environment, category management, and sourcing processes
• Proven financial acumen (P&L Management), language, etc.
• Familiarity with commodity markets, indexes, etc.
• Ability to operate indepentently with limited supervision from manager
• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills by Adjusting communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders
• High attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Time management skills
• Identify and prioritize tasks based on business-critical needs
• Project Management skills
• Analytical skills and aptitude with attention to detail
