Production Manager

Summary:
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our production process. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality control, and timely delivery of our products while maximizing profitability. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals in achieving production goals, implementing continuous improvements, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the entire production operation.
- Build and maintain a high-performing team through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
- Forecast production needs and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or issues, taking corrective action as needed.
- Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain high quality standards for all products.
- Implement and oversee quality control procedures throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular quality audits and analyze data to identify and address quality issues.
- Cost Control and Efficiency:
- Continuously monitor and improve production processes to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining product quality and production output.
- Manage and optimize production budgets.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company safety protocols.
- Conduct safety training for production personnel and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of success in achieving production goals, improving efficiency, and maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in relevant production software (e.g., MRP, ERP).
