Description:
Our client needs a Linux Engineer to manage the Linux environment that hosts about 50 tools and applications leveraged throughout the avionics and engine development lifecycle. There are about 30 servers specific to this environment, primarily RHEL (version 8) with some Ubuntu and a bit of Unix due to some of the applications not being able to run on updated versions. This person will need to be able to both configure and support the servers, and provide backend support to the applications - they do not need experience with the specific applications this team uses, any applications will be applicable. This person also needs to be able to script from scratch, they use shell and batch but other languages would still be beneficial.
Strong nice to haves would be web server administration experience, email servers, and linux networking knowledge.
