Position: Electrical Equipment Assembler

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Contract Type: Temp to Hire (3-6 month transition to direct employee)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Equipment Assembler to join our team ASAP. This role is perfect for someone who is experienced in assembling electrical equipment, interpreting schematics/drawings, and fitting electronic components together. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through various testing methods.

What's In It For You:

Pay Rate: $20-$24 hourly, based on experience
Type of Contract: Temp to hire, with the possibility of transitioning to a direct employee after 3-6 months
Schedule: Consistent weekday hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Layout: Manage wiring bundles on a form board, cutting, hand cabling, and installing IDs.
• Strip/Crimp: Strip wires and crimp contacts/wire lugs using hand-operated tools.
• Solder Sleeves: Work with shielded/jacketed wire, install solder sleeves with or without jumper wire.
• Insertion: Insert contacts into various types of connectors, ensuring proper seating.
• Torque: Tighten connector assemblies and backshells to specified torque.
• Tape: Apply various types of tape to meet specific overlap requirements.
• Close/Band: Install bands to secure shielding to connectors and backshells.
• Testing: Understand principles of continuity and operate test equipment effectively.
• Follow all duties in line with Quality Management System and Safety standards.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in electrical equipment assembly.
• J-STD-001 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and measuring tools.
• Ability to precisely follow verbal or written instructions and interpret drawings/diagrams.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
