As our client continues to grow, they are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
As a Strategic Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning and analysis initiatives to support the company's overall strategic goals. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this position offers a unique opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the financial success of the organization.
This role is hybrid back in officer 3 days a week in Northbrook and budgeted up to a base of $110,000-$110,000 with additional bonus.
Strategic Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
Lead the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with department heads
Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights into business performance and trends
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to aid in strategic decision-making
Conduct in-depth analysis of key business drivers, market trends and competitive landscape to support strategic decision-making
Provide actionable recommendations based on financial analysis to optimize business performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance against strategic objectives
Prepare comprehensive performance reports and present findings to senior management
Identify areas for improvement and work with business units to implement necessary changes
Monitor and manage budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions
Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of budgetary goals with overall company strategy
Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures
Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis and reporting from senior management
Contribute to the preparation of board presentations and executive summaries
Strategic Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis and planning within a professional services environment
Proven expertise in developing and maintaining complex financial models
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning software is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
