Job description
Forty Carrots Family Center seeks a caring and dedicated classroom educator who will support and inspire young students (ages 2 to 5) to expand their knowledge and skills. Our NAEYC accredited program has low student-to-teacher ratio and a commitment to respect and individualized curiosity and care. Using developmentally appropriate practices and play-based activities, our Preschool Educators promote learning and growth in the areas of social-emotional, physical, language & literacy, science & technology, mathematics, social studies, and the arts. Our Preschool Educators employ innovative, creative approaches to learning that stimulate higher level analytical thinking and cognitive abilities, while also ensuring a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore their curiosity and talents and expand their awareness and abilities. This part-time (25 to 29 hrs/wk) teaching position requires a minimum of an associate degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or related field; bachelor's degree preferred. Florida DCF Child Care Personnel Training must be completed within 90 days of hire. Knowledge of Creative Curriculum is helpful but not required. Pay range from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
