The Greater Valley YMCA is looking to hire a Food Service Manager for our Bethlehem location!

Food Service Manager Salary : $14 - $16 per hour
Food Service Manager Hours : Monday through Friday 1:00pm - 5:30pm (Part Time)
Food Service Manager Responsibilities :
- Assist in the daily operations of food service
- Prepare and cook food as the menu indicates
- Set up food, supplies, and utensils for meal service
- Store food and leftovers at proper temperature with appropriate labeling
- Assist in routine sanitation of the kitchen and related equipment
- Clean and maintain all food preparation and storage areas
- Supervise the cleaning of prep, serving, and dining dishes
- Reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle as indicated through the facility's procedures
- Maintain inventory counts of products
- Maintain organization of freezers and refrigerators
- Work as a member of the childcare team
- Check with a Director regarding any food allergies and or dietary needs
Food Service Manager Qualifications :
- At least one year of work experience as a cook preferred
- Possess or obtain current food service certification
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to kitchen rules/safety
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Desire and ability to work with children
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.
- Annual CACFP Training
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
