The Role:

As a Front Desk Representative at My Psychiatrist, you’ll be the heartbeat of our clinics, creating the first and lasting impression for our patients. Your role is more than a job; it’s a commitment to improving lives. It is pivotal in ensuring our patients feel welcomed, valued, and taken care of from the moment they step into our facility. As a Front Desk Representative with us, you will be at the core of our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while playing a pivotal role in the overall success of our thriving practice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Interaction: Provide stellar customer service over phone calls and in person. Be the friendly face that greets and assists our patients and visitors in a courteous manner. Answer and redirect phone calls to the appropriate parties. Efficiently manage appointment scheduling and telemedicine sessions.
2. Administrative Support: Assist in the patient check-in and check-out process. Collect and record patient information and medical history, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
3. Records Management: Maintain and update patients’ electronic health records (EHR). Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and filed appropriately. Uphold patient confidentiality while managing records and billing.
4. Communication: Relay messages from patients to medical staff and vice versa. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
5. Billing and Insurance: Assist patients with billing inquiries and process payments. Verify insurance details and coordinate with the billing department.
6. Office Maintenance: Maintain a clean, inviting, and organized reception area.

Qualifications:

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; further certification in medical administration is a plus.
• Proven work experience as a Front Desk Receptionist, preferably in a medical setting.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills, with a customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and EHR systems is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
