Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CLIN LIC SOCIAL WORKER) Job Summary
This position is part of a project to provide mental health services within a mobile van at school-based settings and/or via telehealth to support continuity of care. Mobile van services including screening for mental health symptoms, providing short term therapeutic services, and coordinated case management with community partnerships. Office and telehealth services include providing long term therapy, case management, and crisis intervention if needed.

- Master's degree from accredited School of Social Work.
- Must have several years of experience working a mental health setting that works with children who have histories of trauma.
- Must have training and experience in evidence-based treatment protocols such as TF-CBT.
- Knowledge of and ability to provide coordinated case management and linkage to appropriate community resources to support all areas of child's developmental needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of individual, child, and family development, human behavior and communication, the influence of culture and values in clinical practice. Knowledge of and ability to provide case management, individual, group, conjoint, family, and evidence-based treatments. Knowledge of suicidal behavior, the ability to assess lethality, and the ability to develop appropriate treatment plan.
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use DSM-5 (or subsequent versions of DSM).
Preferred Qualifications - Spanish fluency in providing social work and mental health services both verbally and written.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and listening. Ability to work diplomatically with a wide variety of people. Ability to convey instructions, directions, and information appropriately and accurately. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with children and their caregivers.
- Knowledge of child, elder abuse, and domestic violence reporting requirements, and other significant legislation and laws regulating mental health practice, (e.g. Tarasoff, patient confidentiality, etc.) Ability to make appropriate interventions based on law and policy.
- Good writing, verbal, and planning skills to write clear and concise reports using applicable computer software.
Department Description The vision of the Department of Pediatrics is the healthiest future for all children and families, with a mission dedicated to creating a healthy future for all children through outstanding patient care, transformative research, innovative medical education, and community-based advocacy. As part of this mission, the purpose of the CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center is to provide culturally responsive, trauma informed patient care (mental health services), teaching and research on behalf of abused/neglected and at-risk children. The CAARE Center specializes in treating childhood trauma, offering evidence-based treatment within a multidisciplinary setting that values staff wellness. Mental health services are provided to children ages 0 to 21 through various service contracts and grants across settings, including outpatient clinics, pediatric clinics, juvenile hall, and community settings.

All therapists are trained in at least two evidence-based treatments and supervision is provided for those accruing hours towards licensure.
