Job Summary:
The Grants Administrator (MHBG) will oversee the grants management, monitoring and implementation of new and existing grants as it relates to the Mental Health Block Grant (MHBG), Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), and discretionaryThe Administrator will be responsible to lead initiatives as it relates to MHBG and PATH within policy and procedure committees, contract updates, and any potential information needed for the development of future contracts to support MHBG and PATH needs and initiatives. The Administrator will partner with other division leaders to provide support and possible enhancement of future AHCCCS initiatives that can best be met through the utilization of grant funding opportunities and the development of future grant expectations. Additionally, the Administrator will work to oversee the completion of all required deliverables to SAMHSA or other funding sources based on contract and cadence expectations. The Administrator will ensure team oversight of required grant responsibilities including connection with procurement, tribal partnerships, finance, and health care management. Finally, the Administrator will work to provide participation and oversight to new funding opportunities, grant writing, and assistance with grant implementation needs.
Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Manage day to day federal grant activities and completion of projects and supervising direct and indirect reports. Provide subject matter expertise on grant review, application, contracting, and implementation of services for internal and external stakeholders.
* Work with Assistant Director and Deputy Assistant Director on reviewing, updating and initiating system changes related to the services provisions provided through the MHBG and other grants as identified.
* Develop and/or oversee the development of procurement requests through a scope of work and contract development. Work with supervisors, project managers, finance and procurement in order to fully complete and execute procurement needs as they relate to grant funding.
* Provide review and feedback on deliverables, policies and procedures.
* Act as the Divisions Liaison for external stakeholders in various forums, including other state agencies and the Behavioral Health Planning Council.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
* Six years of experience in the behavioral healthcare system OR; a Bachelor's degree or higher in a healthcare related field.
Preferred:
* Masters degree and three to five years of experience in the behavioral healthcare system that includes two years at a management or supervisory level.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
* Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
* Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
* Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
