Job Title: CDL A Driver/Yard Jockey/Forklift Operator


Shift: Monday thru Friday 6:30AM-5PM

Department: Transportation

Reports To: Distribution Manager


Position Type: Full Time


Purpose of Position
  1. To safely and efficiently transport trailers from yard to dock and dock to yard and customer locations via tractor trailer.
  2. Use of power equipment to load and unload product. Safely unload, load, transport, locate, stack, and count product.

Appearance

Maintains an appropriate appearance and dresses in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.

Position Competency
  1. Ability to maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT Medical Card.
  2. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  3. Willingness to drive a Class A tractor trailer on commercial routes and follow all DOT Guidelines.
  4. A solid knowledge of all safety and regulatory requirements of operating a Class 8, commercial vehicle.
  5. Ability to work and communicate effectively with Shippers and Consignees, so that they believe, that they are our most important customer.
  6. Must be able to lift 50lbs, climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers, secure trailer loads, sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Ability to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  7. Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
