Job Summary:

We’re home to producing some of the biggest animated hits on television today for Disney Channel and Disney Junior including Phineas & Ferb, Big City Greens, and Gravity Falls; and the premiere animation studio for the Disney + streaming service. Whatever the show, our job is always about creating exciting entertainment!
Disney Branded Television / Freeform Production Finance Department is responsible for the financial management of all of our television series, pilots and specials. We interact with many other Disney Television departments on a daily basis and are looking for the next Sr. Production Accountant to join our tight knit team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the setup and processing of single assignments, bonuses, rights options, and milestone payments for several animation series and development projects.
- Review legal agreements to determine proper method to pay the talent. This requires concise communication with Business Affairs/Legal team at times.
- Act as a liaison between talent agencies and Disney to gather starting paperwork.
- Process payment via Media Services, Studio Payroll, Sargent Disc, or Accounts Payable.
- Communicate payment status with all stakeholders.
- Keep payment trackers up to date and report monthly.
- Perform generic production accounting duties as needed including processing Accounts Payable in SAP, reviewing timecards for Studio Payroll, and preparing cost reports as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and other pertinent meetings relating to the job requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years prior experience in similar role, preferably in the Entertainment industry
- A passion for Animation and be confident working in a dynamic team environment that offers inclusivity and exposure to executives in Disney TV Animation
- Understanding of talent contracts and ability to communicate contract details to others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and be an independent thinker
- Possess a friendly team driven positive attitude
- Have high quality organization, prioritizing, and accuracy skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel and PowerPoint)
Education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with television or feature film production accounting is a plus
- Familiarity with union agreements is a plus
- SAP experience a plus
The hiring range for this position in CA is $82,400 to $113,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
